Award-winning artist, based between London and Berlin, working at the intersections of fine arts, sculpture and design. Ana is a creative professional with a multi disciplinary practice, combining experimental art and design with interdisciplinary research.
Specialized in synthetic polymers (resin, rubber), and metal.
After receiving an international MA scholarship from the University of the Arts London in 2010, to attend the prestigious Fashion Artefact course, Ana won the University’s Best Design Award 2012 in London, UK and the Project of the Year Award at ITS (International Talent Support) 2012 in Italy, for her “ANIMAL: The Other Side of Evolution” project.
Her work has been exhibited internationally in London, Paris, New York, Rome, Berlin etc., in such museums and galleries as the Louvre (FR), Smithsonian Design Museum (NYC), Boijmans Museum (NL), San Jose Museum of Art (CA), among others. In 2013 she received SEED Award (UK) for Exceptional Talents. In 2014 Ana was nominated from British Global Awards for the Artist of the Year Award, and in 2015 for the Outstanding Creation & Invention Prize at Biennale International de Design, Saint Etienne.
Her work has been featured in major print and online publications such as The Independent, Guardian, CNN, British Vogue, Vogue NL, Vogue IT, Dazed and Confused, Interview Magazine, Marie Claire France, Another Magazine, Stylus, Core77, Dezeen, among others.
In 2012 Independent listed her as one of the 12 most promising artists from the University of The Arts, London.
Ana is regularly invited as a public speaker on future of design and new technologies. Since 2013 She has also been a visiting professional / critic at AA Architecture Association in London, and London College of Fashion, UK. Ana also runs a Fashion Artefact workshop at IED Istituto Europeo di Design in Madrid, ES.
