Frank Shepard Fairey, OBEY

February 15, 1970, United States.
He is an urban artist and American graphic designer, famous for his stickers with the image of the television fighter André the Giant and for his designs that take elements of the political propaganda poster of the mid-twentieth century.
Including slogans such as “Think and believe, print and destroy”, which mix the subversive with entertainment, its theme and aesthetics often becomes a mixture between caricature and revival of political propaganda, situationist ideas and aesthetic-philosophical revolutions of the sixties, thematic backgrounds very common in the art of the late 90s and early this century.
